Ph.D. Program in the College of Management:

The College of Management was founded in 1993. It's Ph.D program was established in 2003 to strengthen industrial-university cooperation as well as to advance research breath and depth in the knowledge-based economy. The Ph.D. Program focuses on four main areas:1.Operation Management 2.Information Technology and Management 3.Innovative Design Management 4.Healthy industrial policy and Management.


Teaching & Research:

Students in the Ph.D. program are expected to develop in-depth knowledge of managerial theories and practices for succeeding in mid to large-scale enterprises. Also expected are abilities in conducting research work with an international perspective to cope with the trend of globalization in corporate management. Graduates from this program would pursue their careers either in higher education teaching or in corporate business management. 

The main research areas of the program include public health, health services management, biotechnology and health sciences, information and design management for age groups, and contemporary business and management study. Interdisciplinary research and collaborations with other academic or industrial institutes are strongly encouraged. Our faculty members have been making significant contributions to the theoretical development and empirical studies in chosen disciplines. The program will also continue strengthening research-oriented case study, quantitative analysis methodology, and other problem-solving skills to ensure that our graduates are adaptable to future challenges.


Future Prospects:

The Ph.D. Program will develop its core emphasis on Biotechnology and Health sciences as well as Management research. The work will be done by an interdisciplinary integration of implementation from various departments’ key researches. The Ph.D. Program will continue strengthening the use of research-oriented case study and problem solving to highlight the characteristics of integrating service, teaching and research in the college. Looking into the future, each supporting department in the college will be required to promote a comprehensive inter-college and international integration of research projects under college coordination. Research groups are expected to be formed according to projects that promote for advancing key research.

Students in the Ph.D. program are expected to develop knowledge of managerial theories and capabilities for serving in mid and large scale enterprises. Also expected are abilities in conducting excellent research and perspective of international micro horizons, to cope with the trend of internationalization and diversification in corporate management. Graduates from this program would become senior research personnel engaged in promoting disciplinary integration and implementing corporate management and research methods for management science.
